It is with deep sadness that our family announces the death of Norman Lloyd Hunter, beloved husband, brother, uncle and loyal friend. Norm passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital (Kitchener) on January 31, 2025.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, to the late Orval Lloyd and Norma Edith (nee Sheppard) Hunter. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Judith (nee Mitchell), twin sister Nonie Hutchinson (Jack), brother Ronald (Catherine) and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. He was predeceased by sister Marjorie Nielsen (the late Viggo).

A structural design engineer, Norm was a proud graduate of Queen’s University, class of Science ’63. He was a member of Guelph Wellington Men’s Club and a 50 year member of Cutten Fields.

The family wishes to thank the caring and supportive teams at the Guelph Renal Clinic, Guelph General Hospital, Grand River Hospital and Alisa Craig/The Village of Arbour Trails where Norm and Judy have resided for the past 5 years.

At a future date, Norm’s life will be celebrated with an intimate gathering of family and friends.

In Norm’s memory, donations to Guelph General Hospitalthe Guelph Public Library or a charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Norman L. Hunter in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
