Jean passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 5, 2024, at Groves Memorial Hospital, with close family by her side.
Jean was the beloved wife of Paul for 44 years. Together they ran a dairy farm in West Garafraxa. The farm was Jean’s passion, and her knowledge, efforts and dedication made it a success.
She was a loving and devoted mother to Michelle (John) and Brad, and much adored grandmother to Mila and Olivia. Her energy and laughter, her caring guidance and support, and her gentle encouragement to “do the best that you can” will always be held close to our hearts.
Jean was born in Mount Forest to the late Gordon and Marion Winslade. She is survived by her brother Ralph (Irene), her sister-in-law Barbara and her sister-in-law Beatrice. Pre-deceased by her sisters in law Margaret, Marjorie, Shirley, Mary, Joan and brothers in law Graham, Wellington, Ray, Charles, Bill and Carl.
For all of those who knew her, including many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends, Jean exemplified kindness, compassion, determination, strength and stoicism. We will miss her deeply.
