After her divorce from Jack, Co-operators transferred her to Guelph Ontario to manage the underwriting department. While working there she met and married Don Harvey in 1986.
Doris was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Ellen, ex- husband Jack, husband Don , sister Jane Kersey (Phil), daughter Nancy Stanlick (Tim) and son-in-law Ron Smith. Doris also leaves behind a broken-hearted, supportive group of relatives including daughters Lynda Cerenzia (Glen), Brenda Ellis (Chuck), son-in-law Tim Stanlick, grandchildren Pete Smith, Jason Stanlick (Janine), Jeff Stanlick (Tanya), Jennifer Dorsey (Ross), Renee Ellis, Nicole Ellis, Lori Ellis, great grandchildren, Nicholas and Olivia Smith, Ben Stanlick, Rowen, Emersyn, and Griffin Stanlick, Kapriah, Kashus, and Kaari Dorsey.
Doris was a big personality in a small package. She had an impact on each person she interacted with. She was courageous, inspirational, kind, loving, funny, full of joy, a ball of fire that showed us what can be accomplished with determination and persistence.
The family will be honouring Doris at a private family ceremony at a later date.
