It is with profound sadness that the Gatto family announces the sudden passing of Guido Gatto, on Saturday, April 15, 2017, in this, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Luciana (nee Visentin) for 56 years. Loving father of Oscar, Paolo (Francis Hartman), Paola (Bill Malyk), Lora (Bruce Everitt) and Lisa. Cherished Nonno of Nicholas, Adele, Marcus, Sarah, Adam, Sean, Ryan, Jake, Thomas Julia and Nathan.

Guido is survived by his sister Antonietta Visentin and his brother Luigi Gatto. Predeceased by his brothers Udisio, Severino and Angelo and sisters Daria and Zita. Guido will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, especially Virginio Finora. Guido was born on June 16, 1937 in Caselle dÂ’Alitvole, Italy and came to Canada in 1958. He started a successful home-building business 47 years ago, which continues today, through his sons.

Guido was great a many things and to many people, but his biggest accomplishment was his family. He took exceptional pride in his workmanship and instilled a strong work ethic in all his children. Up until his last days, he loved going to the job site to work with his sons. He continues to live on through his children and in all of us.
