Of Ottawa, passed away on April 4, 2019 at the age of 95. Sgt. Foster proudly served on the Halifax Mark III Bomber in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a mid-upper gunner in the 425 Squadron. After the war, he worked as a court clerk in Ottawa. Predeceased by brothers, Jack Foster (Irene), Norm Foster (Laura), his sister Dorothy Kewley (Bob) and niece, Peggy McNeil (John). Uncle Ken is lovingly remembered by his nephews Greg Kewley, Brian Kewley (Pam), Richard Kewley, Bob Foster (Nancy), John Elkerton (Angela), and nieces Diane Kewley (Mark), Tanya Ewanovich (Erik), Laurie Elkerton (Peter), and Margaret Bird (Martin), and dear lifelong friends, Don and Suzanne Ewanovich.
Known for his sharp wit, sense of humour and enthusiasm for politics and dancing, Ken was always ready to share a pint at his local pub as he connected with many fortunate people who were privileged to share part of his journey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 13, 2019 at 10:30 am at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, ON with visitation to precede at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the charity of your choice.
