Peacefully in her 98th year, Yvonne (Bonny) Finnigan passed away on March 13th, at Idlewyld Manor in Hamilton, Ontario.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Finnigan and infant daughter, Carol. Predeceased by her loving parents James C. Doran and Phyllis Doran and her brother James A. Doran (Jean). Loving mother of Nadine Belitski and son-in-law, William Belitski, Mount Hope Ontario. Bonny will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews in Ottawa and Vancouver and cousins in Winnipeg and Victoria, BC.
Bonny was born and raised on James Island B.C. She was the last remaining citizen of James Island that had actually been born on the island. Bonny and Joseph moved to Windsor, Ontario in 1949 and then eventually near Guelph. Bonny worked at Fiberglas for the next 32 years. She made many great friends and lasting memories there. In her spare time, Bonny volunteered at many charitable organizations in Guelph.
A heartfelt thank you to the nursing and PSW staff of Idlewyld Manor, Oakwood Ward for their compassionate care and support. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Hart Chapel at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home (1099 Gordon St., Guelph) on Thursday, March 27 at 11:00 am followed by a reception/visitation. Private interment.
