After a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones, Joe Finnigan took his last breath. He leaves behind the love of his life Melina (Lucchese), his wonderful children Samantha (Evan), Quintin (Jillian), Maria (Jayden), and his beautiful grandchildren that were his pride and joy, Hudson, Grayson, Riverlyn, Carson, Casper, Willow and Kanan.

He was predeceased by his parents, Roy (2023) and Joanne (2017) Fountain and will be missed by his siblings Todd Fountain and Kim (Ken2014) Boyes. Son-in- law of Ralph and Vivian Lucchese, son-in-law of Linda Lucchese and Paul Gruber. Brother-in-law of Lyn and Nelson Aguiar. Uncle of Anthony Lucchese and Massimo Aguiar. He will be missed by all his nieces and nephew.

Joe was a very hardworking man. He took pride in everything he did. He was a very loved man by his friends and extended family. He always had a golden heart, a smile to light up a room, the most generous man, and his love for sports was undeniable. He will forever be missed and never forgotten.

We would like to thank Catrina and Colleen from Bayshore nursing and palliative care, as well as Hospice Wellington for the great service and care that they provided. A special thanks to Dr. Spadafora.

Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph. A visitation will be held on Monday Sept. 9 from 3-7 p.m. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. As per Joe's wishes, come as you are or please wear a sports jersey/apparel to the funeral service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made to Hospice Wellington or Ronald McDonald House Hamilton would be greatly appreciated by the family. Donations and condolences can be made online.
