FENNELL, Sheila (nee Seifried) – March 2, 1943 ~ November 20, 2023
Passed away on November 20th, 2023, at Hospice Wellington in Guelph with her loving husband and son Brent and daughter-in-law Penny by her side.
Sheila was born in Guelph, Ontario March 2, 1943, to parents Clarence and Joyce Seifried (nee Chadder). She was the oldest of six children - Larry (Mary), Susan, Anne (Farrell), Mary (Sepers) and Wayne (Amy). She was predeceased by Susan who died at age 4 months in 1949. Sheila loved her family dearly and was blessed to share her life with her son Brent (son with her first husband Keith Parry) and his wife Penny and her grandsons Daniel and Jakob as well as Rob’s daughter Beth (Rebecca), and her sister-in-law Judy Patrick and her brother-in-law Mike Fennell, and her nieces and nephews and their children.
Sheila grew up in Guelph but had since lived in Windsor, Hamilton, Kitchener, Winnipeg (where she married her husband Rob Fennell), and Georgetown before returning to live in Guelph for the past 10 years.
Sheila led a vibrant and full life. She held various jobs throughout her life including owning a modelling agency in Guelph. She traveled the world with Rob both on business trips and then on cruises, often with their good friends Peter and Linda Woollings who stood up for them at their wedding.
Sheila’s zest for life included her love of Elvis Presley and she managed to visit Graceland and attend many Elvis Festivals and live Elvis concerts. She also managed to get a kiss from Ricky Nelson in her younger days much to her delight.
Everyone who had the opportunity to meet Sheila felt her love and warmth and will not forget her beautiful smile and twinkle in her eye.

Friends will be received at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Monday from 10:00 am -11:00 am. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 11:00 am. For anyone that wishes to watch remotely can do so via Zoom by using the link on the funeral home website. Reception to follow at the Guelph Golf & Country Club, 133 Woodlawn Rd E, Guelph.
