FAVERO, Antonio 'Tony'

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Antonio (Tony) Favero at General Hospital at the age of 85. Tony was born in San Zenone, Italy to a family of 10 brothers and sisters and at 18 immigrated to Toronto, Canada and ultimately made his home in Guelph. He was a proud baker and business owner in Guelph for 34 years.

Tony was a loving husband to Anna for 56 years and proud father of Consuelo (John) and Bryan (Tanya). He was also a cherished Nonno to Amanda and the late Eric. Tony will be missed by his brothers Achille (Rita) and Ambrosio (Lidia) and their families, extended family, many nieces and nephews and friends. Tony is predeceased by his brothers and sisters Paulo, Lucia, Luigi, Regina, Silvio, Maria, and Francesco.

We are thankful to all the staff at the Guelph General Hospital on the 5th floor Step Down Unit for all their support, kindness, and tremendous care for Tony. We would also like to thank Dr. Shwartz and especially Dr. Ruddock for their kindness, dedication and support in the care of Tony over the past few years.
Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023, from 5:00-9:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 10:30am in the funeral home. Reception to follow at the Italian Canadian Club.
