Of Guelph, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at the age of 66.  Dear cousin of Janos (Catherine) Janossy and Andras Janosi.  Loved and cherished friend of Jill Hefkey, Tanya Martin, JR Greer, and Darlene Blaskievich.  Predeceased by his parents Laszlo Enekes and Ilona Janossy.  Les will be sadly missed by many friends and family in Canada, Hungary and the United States.

Les loved aviation, especially being involved with the air shows.  He was a long time employee of the Upper Grand District School Board in the IT Department.  He was also an avid photographer, a lover of garage sales and auctions, and he volunteered with the Special Olympics. He also wrote the “Curmudgeon’s View” column for the Fountain Pen.  Les was a private and unselfish man, who always had time to listen.

Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 10-11 a.m.  Memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. 

Memorial contributions to the Golden Retriever Rescue or the Special Olympics would be appreciated.

 

A tree will be planted in memory of Leslie W. Enekes in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:30 pm.
