It is with deep sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nonna and friend Louisa in her 73rd year. She was born Oct 19,1944 in Roccamorice, Abruzzo, Italy. She was the devoted, selfless and loving mother of her forever caring sons and daughter in laws, George (Teresa), Tony (Tracey) and Rob (Wendy). She was the adoring Nonna to Matthew, Alexander, Alyssa ,Jessica (2003), Sarah and Charlanna. Louisa is survived by her sister in law, Maria Deliberali (Luigi); her sister in law Louisa Durigon(Amadeo 1997) her nephew, Frank Pavan (Joan) and many nieces and nephews, both in Canada and Italy. Louisa is pre deceased by her husband Oddone (2007) her granddaughter, Jessica (2003)her father Giorgio (1965) her mother, Anna D Angelo (2004) and sister Mary Williamson (2004). Lui will be forever remembered by amazing and loyal friends and relatives in Italy and Canada. Louisa Durigon will be remembered for her immense pride and love of her Italian heritage, her strong sense of family, her unwaivering strength and her sense of humour. Louisa had an infectious love of life, she wanted to take care of everyone, her kitchen was always open and that is where she was happy to feed anyone that walked into her home. Louisa endured so much in her life and taught her children and grandchildren that there is no greater gift than the love of family, God and friends. Thank you so much to Ivana Maggiolo, Maria Ricci and Ofelia Pizzasegolo for always being there and taking care of their friend and sister. Your kindness and empathy for our mom will never be forgotten. Thank you also to Dr. Dean Raso and the staff at the Guelph General Hospital for keeping her last few hours dignified and peaceful. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph where the family will receive friends on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil for Louisa will be held at 8:45pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Johns Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph, on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Marymount Cemetery.
