Passed away peacefully January 3rd 2024 at home in Guelph with family at her side. She is predeceased by her husband, Dr. John Dupré (2020). Gillian will be greatly missed by her children, Matthew (Lyrinda), Louisa (Pedro), Luke, grandchildren, Samantha (Mikhail), Sebastian, Cecilia, Miebet, great grandchildren, Remi and Zoya and sister-in-law Gillian Baker.
Gillian was born in Quetta, Pakistan and was evacuated back to England at the age of 5 months after the great Quetta earthquake. She grew up in Devon, England and, as a young woman, travelled extensively working for the British Foreign Office. Gillian married John in 1959, emigrated to Montreal with their young family, and later moved to London Ontario, a happy home to them for decades. Gillian’s interest in and empathy for others touched many, and she is remembered as gracious, kind, loving and giving.
