In Loving Memory of Elisa Di Leonardo (née Cerone) -

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Elisa in her 92nd year, surrounded by her loving family, on February 3, 2024. She was the devoted wife of 70 years to her husband Antonio, loving mother to Albino (Elena), Josie (David), and Lino, and doting grandmother to Julian (Jen), Sonia (Bobby), Alex, and Evan, and great grandmother to Mara.

Born May 12, 1932 in Abruzzo, Italy, Elisa came to Canada in 1968 with her husband and children. They settled in Guelph where they created a home that valued hard work and spending quality time together.

She will be remembered fondly for her incredible work ethic, love of gardening, and enjoyment of cooking for her family. We look back fondly on the memories made around the dining table, enjoying Sunday lunch as a family.

Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated caregivers at The Elliott Community for their compassionate and attentive care. We are grateful to the staff for the kindness shown to us all during Elisa's time there.

Elisa will be dearly missed, fondly remembered, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her love.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, CNIB, The Elliott Community or a charity of your choice.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N. Guelph, where the family invites friends and relatives for a visitation on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the Dublin Chapel on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 10:30am followed by entombment at Marymount Cemetery. All are welcome back to the funeral home for a reception following the entombment.
