It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ray Dery on December 26th, 2024, at home, surrounded by family.
Beloved Husband and best friend of 55 years to Bernadette. Loving Father of Mark (Jeannie) and Karen (Todd). Cherished Papa of Meaghan, Connor, Nolan and Parker. Dear Brother to the late John (Teresa) and Maureen (Greg). Special Uncle to Sharon (Tom), Ian (Janice), Christopher (Maggie), Tara and David (Robin). Great-uncle to Nicholas (Karen), Simon (Georgia), Jane, William, Andrew and Noah. Will be missed by all friends and extended family.
Being a devoted grandfather, Ray found joy in watching his grandchildren pursue their passions. Whether it was watching Nolan's hockey or lacrosse games, guiding Meaghan through her career and school choices, watching Connor's soccer games, or creating memories and puzzles with Parker, Ray's dedication was unwavering and immeasurable.
Ray was an avid traveler, exploring the world on cruises throughout Europe, the Caribbean, and Australia. Whether fishing at the cottage, completing crossword puzzles, or walking his Dalmatian, Kady, through the fields, he found contentment in life's simple pleasures. Saturdays were a special time for Ray, spent in quiet reflection, caring for his pool with a cup of coffee in hand.
A former draft pick of the Montreal Alouettes Football Team, Ray's career flourished as the Senior District Manager of all Mark's and Spencer's across Canada, where he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and peers.
