Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on September 5, 2024, in his 76th year.
Alcuin was born and raised in Pakistan and had moved to Dubai for a new work opportunity.
He decided to stay in Dubai where he worked and lived for almost 36 years with his wife and daughter before moving to Canada in 2007 - giving them a better life to prosper even further.
Alcuin was fiercely independent and a deeply religious man. He was humble and tried to lead his life with sincerity and his love for the Catholic Church was well known to all. He was quiet spoken and a good listener and was willing to help anyone in need.
His love for his grandson Aryan was unmatched. They have made some beautiful, lifelong memories together that will always be treasured.
He is survived by his loving wife Theresa and his daughter Pearl, Son- in- law Raj and grandson Aryan.
A visitation will be held at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 9:00am to 9:40am. A Funeral Mass will be held at SAINT JOSEPH’S CHURCH, 409 Paisley Rd, Guelph, at 10:00 am. For those that wish to watch the service remotely, a livestream will be available on the St. Joseph Catholic Parish Youtube page (link available on the Wall-Custance website). Burial will follow at Marymount Cemetery, 5400 Sideroad 6 S, Guelph. Reception to follow at the family home.
