It is with great sadness that we share that Mary Dawson passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on October 10th, 2024 at the age of 89.
Mary was the beloved wife of Frank Dawson for 68 years. Mary was the proud mother of Michael (Cindy) and Neil. She will be missed by her grandchildren Lucas (Tiffany), Rachel (Matt), and Grace, and great grandchildren Jaxston and Octavia. She will also be missed by her sister’s in-law Marion and Frances, as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her sisters Ruby (Gordon), Agnes (Joe), Alice (Ken), Ethel (Harry) and her brothers Walt (Margaret) and Bill, and brother’s in-law Allan (Joan) and Chuck.
Mary enjoyed reading, gardening, travelling, and playing cards and was a great cook and baker. Mary and Frank enjoyed many bus and car trips locally, across Canada and the United States. Mary and Frank also enjoyed attending local theatre. Mary got the biggest kick out of activities with the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We wish to thank Dr. Graham and Hospice Wellington staff and volunteers for the care and support Mary and our family received.
Friends will be received at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00pm. For anyone that would like to watch the service remotely, please use the link on the funeral home website. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
