DAMETTO, Giovanni (John)

It is with great sadness that we announce his sudden passing in
Guelph, on Thursday, June 20, 2019. John Dametto in his 82nd year, was the
Loving father of Cesarina (Paul), Linda (Brian) and John (Emily). He was
the proud Nonno of Rob, Kayla, Dennis (Janelle), Teri (Nathan), Craig
(Natasha), Lauren, Colin, Abby and Joseph. John was the dear brother of
Mina Polo. Predeceased by his parents Cesare and Giaconda (Carraro)
Dametto and siblings in Guelph and Italy. John will be sadly missed by
many nieces, nephews, friends and family. John will be remembered for his
beautiful gardens, love of fishing, and spending time with family and
friends.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252
Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive their friends on
Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Giovanni will be
held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be
held at St. John’s Church 45 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph, on Wednesday, June
26, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment in Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As
expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of
Ontario would be appreciated by the family. Donation cards are available
at the funeral home or online.
