Joe passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the age of 52 yrs. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Grace (nee Tavares) for more than 33 years. He was the proud father of Michael (Carly), Marcus and his furry baby, Summer. Joe was the loving son of Maria (and the late Daniel). Loving son in law to Victor and Maria Tavares. He was the dear brother of Paul and Danny and brother and sisters in law, Emmanuel, Victor, Heleana, Rosa and Connie. Joe will also be missed terribly by his three God children, many cousins, nieces, nephews & friends. Visitation will be held at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Tuesday, June 13 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. with vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Wednesday, June 14 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions to Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington, 87 Waterloo Avenue Guelph, Ontario N1H 3H6
