Peacefully entered into eternal rest at Hospice Wellington to join her parents Hunter (1995) and Viola (2008). Beloved sister of Jim of Acton, Mary of Kitchener, John (Norma) of Guelph, Wayne (Julie) of Belwood and Nancy of Rockwood. Devoted aunt of Chris (Tracy), Jiraiya, Andy, Nathan (Katie), Kayla (Ty) Wright. Great aunt of Caitlin, Matthew, Jayden, Stella, Lucy and Coulson.
Marian spent her career working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. She began at Midwestern Regional Centre then Special Olympics Ontario and retired from Special Olympics Canada as Director of Sports & Competition. For this dedication, Marian received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal.
Marian had many fond memories of her time spent with friends at 19 Woodlawn Rd. Guelph.
Thank you to Marian’s Health Care Team, Dr. C. Purdon and Yvonne Dametto, Dr. Kouroukis and Dr. Mian, the Staff at ODS, Chemo Suite and Clinic F at the Juravinski Hospital, Dr. Pavenel, Dr. Albion, the Palliative Care Team, Dr. Lund, Colleen and Jade and the staff at Hospice Wellington who made Marian so comfortable and also took such great care of our family.
Resting at the Brombal Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma Street, Guelph on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Spring interment will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oustic.
