June 11, 1941 - September 14, 2024

Imelda ‘Mel’ Corbeil (nee Kelly), beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 14, 2024, at the age of 83.

Born June 11, 1941, in Charlottetown PEI. Mel lived an active, principled life with strong faith and determination which guided her to a successful career with the Ministry of Transportation and to positively influence those with whom she crossed paths.

Mel was beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Corbeil (August 11, 2021).  Together they accomplished an early retirement and enjoyed time spent with family and friends at their summer retreat.

Mel leaves behind her children Lynne (Marc) and Alan (Jane).  Grandmother to Cory (Andrea), Roger (Tara) and great grandmother to Aiden, Kennedi, Ethan, Knox, and Lucy.  Loving sister to Sylvia Major and Judy Gallant.

Predeceased by her parents Mildred and Joeseph Kelly, siblings Alfred, Richard, and Morris.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wellington Hospice for their kind, gentle care.  And a special thank you to in-home PSW Jackie and care coordinator Sarah who made a lasting impression on our family for their connection and care during our time of need.

To honour her wishes, funeral service will not be held.  In place, a celebration of life will be arranged by the family in due time for all friends and family to gather and share memories.

Donations in lieu of flowers in Imelda Corbeil’s memory may be made to Hospice Wellington – Guelph, Ontario.
