CONSONNI, Antonio “Tony”

June 9, 1935- May 17, 2018 - Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington, at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Natalina (nee Fusco) Consonni. He was the dear father of Mina (Frank) Lucchese and Tony (Betty) Consonni. Antonio was the proud nonno of Joshua, Matthew and Josie. Dear brother of Giovanni (late
Dolores) Consonni of Boston, the late Ottavio (Concetta) Consonni of St. Catharines and Angela (Nicola) Soriano of Guelph.

Antonio and Natalina arrived in Canada from Italy in 1963. Many people would remember Tony as a tailor at Elk’s Men’s Wear and House of David before establishing his own business, Tony the Tailor, on MacDonnell St. in Guelph. After retirement, Antonio and Natalina enjoyed spending time in Clearwater, Florida, and summers in Southampton, Ontario.

Friends are invited to join the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Sunday, May 20th from 7-9 p.m. and Monday May 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Trillium Gift of Life would be appreciated by the family.
