It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of May Belle Clough (Hall) on September 28, 2024 at the age of 96.

Reunited with the love of her life, they will forever be together.

May is survived by her children Jan Sherman, Allan (Janice) Clough and Karen (Rob) Bushell and her sister Kathy Anderson. She was the loving grandmother to Jeremy (Jen) Hillson, Joel (Kirsten) Bushell, Lauren (Scott) Thompson, Jessica Bishop and Kathleen Bushell. Great grandmother to Aiden, Laken, Lyla, Christopher (CJ), Brody, Dakota, Connor, Mason, Madelyn, Morgan, Adeline and Cyrus.

Predeceased by her husband of 66 years Edward (Rick) (2015), twin sister Em, brother Bob and granddaughter Rebecca.

May will be missed by nieces, Lori, Bonnie, Sandra, Nancy, Trisha and nephews, Tim, Brian, David, Todd and long time close family friend Laura (Bill) Hanley.

May’s happiest years were spent on Lawrence Avenue where family and friends gathered regularly to enjoy a BBQ and a day of swimming. The last few years have been spent living at the Elliott where she met many new friends and enjoyed spending time and sharing life stories with them.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks Dr. Ruddock and the staff at the Ellington for their kindness, care and compassion in Mom’s final days. A very special thanks to Catrina of Bayshore for going above and beyond. Your understanding and compassion serve as a reminder that exceptional nurses exist.
