With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Johnny Carreiro at Hospice Wellington on January 24, 2024.

Loving husband to Donna for 20 years. Devoted father to Jonathon “Jono” (Ashlee), Jodi (Brandon) and Mark (Alex). Proud grandfather to Brandon, Derek, Courtney, Ben, Austin, April, Karrington, and Beau. Cherished brother to Joe and Mario. Predeceased by his parents, his siblings Louie and Danny, his daughter Kelly, and his mother in law Joan. He will be missed by all his friends and extended family, especially his R U Serious family.

A true enthusiast of life and an avid sports fan, with an unwavering love for the Buffalo Bills. Born with a heart full of passion, Johnny's joy was found in the thrill of the game, particularly when cheering for his beloved team.

A fixture in the world of sports, Johnny's enthusiasm for the Buffalo Bills went beyond mere fandom; it was a testament to the camaraderie and shared spirit that sports can inspire. His dedication to the team was a source of inspiration for fellow fans, creating bonds that extended far beyond the field. A proud member of the Buffalo Bill's Backers, Johnny exemplified the true spirit of sportsmanship and community.

Beyond the roar of the stadium, Johnny's love for sports encompassed a variety of games and competitions. Whether it was watching games with friends or engaging in friendly banter about the latest plays, he found immense joy in the shared excitement of the sports community.

Johnny's love knew no bounds, and his dedication to his children was evident in the countless moments of laughter, shared adventures, and the unwavering support he provided throughout their lives.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph where the family invites friends and relatives for a visitation on Sunday, January 28th, 2024 from 12:00pm – 2:30pm followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 2:30. The family encourages attendees to wear their favourite sports team's jersey. Celebration of Life to take place immediately following the service at the Guelph Country Club, 133 Woodlawn Rd E, Guelph.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
