It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Mom, Elaine Stephanie Bradshaw at the age of 76. Elaine died peacefully early Friday morning, January 3rd, with her devoted daughter Jill by her side.

Elaine has now joined her mother Stephanie who predeceased her at the tender age of two and her father David who passed away in 2014. Together, they will watch over their loved ones here on Earth. Elaine was a cherished Mom to Kyle (Nicole) Wanzel and Jill (Jason) Lemaich. A proud Nana to her Granddaughter Paige and grandpups Bailey and Gracie. Predeceased by her stepbrother Tim Bradshaw, survived by her stepmother Virgilean Bradshaw, and lovingly remembered by many family and dear friends.

Elaine was born, grew up, and graduated from U of A in Edmonton, Alberta before moving with her husband (Bob) and young family to Sudbury, Ontario where she lived until 1997. She first moved to Pickering and then Guelph became home in 2001. Elaine enjoyed a lifetime of highly skilled and talented creative projects and endeavours ranging from sewing, crafting, felting, fabric and textile works of art to free hand cross stitch and embroidery masterpieces.

While all who knew and loved her are deeply saddened by her passing, we are grateful that she is now free and at peace after a lengthy journey with Primary Progressive Aphasia and Alzheimer’s Disease. Elaine’s love for her family and her “people” as well as her love of music and her unique and witty sense of humour and love of laughter and giggles remained intact as well as her beautiful smile and sweet kisses.

Her family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her favourite caregivers Sharon, Tara, Elyssa, Laurie, and newly Gigi who formed her beautiful companion care team. The family also appreciates the care and support from Stacy, Emily, and the scheduling team at Right at Home.

The family would also like to thank the staff at Arbour Trails for the compassionate care and support they provided while Elaine was a resident.

The family is extremely grateful to her palliative care team led by Dr. Peter Spadafora and Shannon Wood, her Bayshore palliative nurse.

As per Elaine’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A private gathering and celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

A tree will be planted in memory of Elaine S. Bradshaw in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
