Gwen Beeteson of Guelph passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Guelph General Hospital on September 29, 2023, at the age of 81.
Beloved wife and best friend of nearly 60 years to the late Glen Beeteson (July 2022). Loved mother of Sherry Butts (Sheldon). Cherished grandmother of Rachel Lukaszyk (Peter) and Katelyn Butts. Beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothy Clayton. Will be missed dearly by her brothers and sisters.
Gwen loved listening to music. You would often hear her singing along to her favourite Elvis songs, even as she took her final breaths. She adored all family celebrations, especially birthdays. Some of her favourite moments were spent with friends and family sitting around the kitchen table sharing a meal, playing cards and recalling old stories.
Gwen’s daughter and grandchildren were her pride and joy as she revelled in their achievements, no matter how big or small. As a wife, her unwavering love and dedication to Glen were inspirational. Together, they weathered life’s storms and celebrated life’s joys. May they meet on the other side of the stars to embrace each other again, never to say goodbye.
