ln Loving Memory of Aubrey Bartle
September 27, 1926 - December 21, 2024

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of Aubrey Bartle on Saturday, December 21, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family at the remarkable age of 98.

Aubrey was a man who embraced life fully and brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Aubrey Shared an extraordinary bond with his wife, Thelma, the love of his life, whose memory he cherished every day. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, music, and family.

Aubrey's passion for music was infectious; his record player often spun tunes that filled the air, and his living room became a dance floor for anyone lucky enough to be in his presence.

Aubrey was known for his incredible sense of humor and his gift for delivering the perfect one-liner at just the right moment. He had a zest for life, whether it was enjoying a round of bowling, perfecting his golf swing, or savoring his favorite rye and water. His culinary skills were unmatched, and his family will forever remember his delicious meals.

His work ethic was inspiring, and he took pride in his years at Westinghouse and later unloading trucks for Tim Hortons. Even at 98, Aubrey was still shopping, driving, and living independently--always a testament to his strength and determination.

Above all, Aubrey's greatest joy was his family. He leaves behind his loving children, Adele DiLiberto (John), Terry Bartle (Rita), Janet Bartle, and Ron Bartle; his cherished grandchildren, Julie (Peter), Joe, Nick (Moeko), Kerry, Pamela (Jay); and his adored great-grandchildren, Angelene, Noah, Brianna, Jackson, Thomas, Akira, Ken, Sakura and Yamato. Aubrey also leaves behind his dear sisters, Jeanette (Scott Jodi and Craig) and Cathy (Todd, Lori and Kelly), and countless friends whose lives he touched.

Aubrey's presence was a gift to all who knew him. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Aubrey's memory to Hospice Wellington or Guelph General Hospital.

Aubrey, your music will forever play in our hearts, and your humour will echo in our memories. Rest in peace, knowing you were loved by all.
