July 23, 1952 - January 25, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Arvo, a devoted husband, beloved father, cherished grandfather, and dear friend to many.

Arvo was the loving husband of Susan for 47 wonderful years, a proud father to Michael Arget (Nick) and Christine Wilcox (Brandon), and a beloved Papa to his treasured granddaughters, Parker and Emmie Wilcox. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Ilse Arget. He will also be deeply missed by his older brother, Tom Arget (Maiva), as well as his brother-in-law Doug (Carol) and sister-in-law Karen (Anthony), along with many much-loved family members and dear friends.

Arvo enjoyed a fulfilling career in sales, where he made many great memories that he loved to share. Those who knew him best knew that his true passion was golf - many of his happiest moments were spent on the course with his buddies. When not golfing, he could often be found mastering his daily crossword puzzles or cheering on his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Newman, Dr. Gupta, and Dr. Wright for their exceptional care and support.

A celebration of Arvo’s life will be held at Cutten Fields in Guelph on Friday, February 7th, from 1:00-4:00 PM (190 College Ave West, Guelph).

Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish to honour Arvo’s memory, donations can be made to The Juravinski Cancer Centre or Guelph General Hospital.

“Arvo’s kindness, warmth, and love for life will be deeply missed but forever remembered.”

A tree will be planted in memory of Arvo R. Arget in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
