With deep sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Delia Arcega on April 27, 2023 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.
Loving wife to Ramoncito “Chito” for 38 wonderful years. Proud mother to Kevin (Melissa) Arcega. Treasured grandmother to Mia Jolie, Mateo and Marlee Dre. Cherished sister to Carmen, Ester, Clarita, Leticia, Danilo, Efren, Lilian, and Rommel. Predeceased by her parents Martin and Maria Garcia. Will be missed by all her nieces and nephews, friends and extended families in Canada, USA, Philippines and Australia.
She worked as a Financial Officer at Canadian Food Inspection Agency for 25+ years. She loved travelling, gardening, baking and cooking. Her most favourite thing was being a great wife to Chito, mother to Kevin (Melissa), and grandmother to Mia, Mateo and Marlee.
Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, where friends and relatives are invited to join for a visitation on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 2:00pm-5:00pm and again from 7:00pm-9:00pm with short service by Father Bergsma and eulogies at 7:30pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Road, Guelph, on Saturday, May 13 at 10:30am followed by entombment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, 5400 Highway 6, Guelph. All are welcome to join the reception after the cemetery back at St. Joseph’s Church basement.
