With deep sorrow, we announce that Vicki passed away peacefully on January 8, 2024, just days away from her 100th birthday (January 18, 1924).

Loving wife to her late husband Albert. Devoted mother to Michael (Sharon), Bob (Jennifer), Richard (Deborah), and Dianne (Patrick). Proud grandmother to Kristin (Christopher), Stephen (Lily), Kathryn, and Dana. Treasured great grandmother to Grace and Aiden. Cherished sister to Yoli (late Toni) and Eleanor (late Edward). Predeceased by her parents Violet and Fred, her sisters Mary and Rita (Guy), and her brother Frank (Mary). Vicki will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and all her friends.

Born with a natural talent for expression, she found solace and joy in the strokes of oil painting, creating masterpieces that reflected the beauty she saw in the world around her.

A true nurturer at heart, Vicki's green thumb and love for nature were evident in the vibrant tapestry of her gardens. The blooms she tended to with care mirrored the love she showered upon her family and friends.

Vicki's zest for life extended to the greens of the golf course and the camaraderie of the bowling lanes. Whether it was a leisurely round of golf with friends or the competitive spirit of a bowling league, Vicki embraced each moment with laughter and a warm heart.

Yet, above all, her greatest passion was caring for her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Vicki's love and selflessness knew no bounds.

The family offers a special thank you to the Elliot Long-term Care facility in Guelph for their compassionate care in her final four months.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, where cremation has taken place. The family invites friends and relatives for visitation on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:30pm, which coincides with Vicki’s 100th birthday. The visitation will be followed by a Funeral Service beginning in the Hart Chapel at 2:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Guelph Food Bank.
