Anna Maria was born in Miglierina, Calabria on April 20, 1940 to Francesco and Maria (nee Guzzi) Montesanti. She married her childhood sweetheart and best friend Giuseppe on March 3, 1963. They came to Canada in September 1964 and started their life in Guelph in 1965.
With boundless love, creativity and hard work, our dear Mother nurtured a beautiful family life for her husband, children and grandchildren. Our Mom was an exceptional homemaker, cook, baker, extraordinary seamstress, and gardener. Anna Maria and Giuseppe enjoyed travelling with family and with friends on their annual trips over the years.
Anna Maria’s kindness and generosity were felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a gracious host, and no one left her home without their stomachs and hearts being full.
Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her beloved husband, children and grandchildren and spending hours in her garden, at her
sewing machine or knitting blankets for her ever- growing family.
Anna Maria’s love and warmth will forever be missed. We love you.
