It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janek Ireneusz Adamski, with his family by his side on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Guelph General Hospital. He was 75 years old. Born in Poland and immigrating to Canada in 1986, Jan carried his heritage with pride throughout his life. He was a devoted Catholic and found strength in his faith, which guided him through life’s many joys and challenges. A skilled machinist by trade, he dedicated his life to his work, perfecting his craft and earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. His hands, both strong and gentle, crafted not just machines but also countless cherished memories for those who knew him well.

He was a loving and devoted father to his two daughters, Katherine Adamski (Nicholas MacEachern) and Agnes (Adamski) (Matt Lennox), who were the light of his life. Dear Grandfather of Alexander and William (Lennox). He cherished every moment spent with them and was immensely proud of his family. His love for fishing was only matched by his love for good food and conversation. Whether on the water or at the dinner table, Jan had a gift for storytelling and could always be counted on for a thoughtful word or a hearty laugh. He will also be deeply missed by his sister Anna Grabowska, brothers Konrad and Czesław Adamski and by his nieces and nephews.

Jan leaves behind a legacy of giving unconditional love, hard work, and devotion to family and faith. Jan will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
