HAMILTON – The Guelph Royals improved to 16-10 on the season with a 7-0 blanking of the Hamilton Cardinals Monday night.
It was the fourth win in a row for the Royals.
Guelph pounded out 17 hits while starter Hector Yan held Hamilton to three hits in six and one third innings.
J.D. Williams had four hits for Guelph and Franklin Torres drove in four runs on two hits.
Yan struck out seven on the night, Brandon Deans mopped up, allowing one hit over the final two and two thirds innings.
Hamilton falls to 12-17.
Guelph plays in Barrie Thursday then hosts Chatham on Saturday night.
