The Guelph Storm has traded overage defenceman Tommy Budnick to the Brantford Bulldogs.

In exchange the Storm recevies a third-round pick in 2026 (Saginaw), and a fifth-round pick in 2027 (North Bay).

The move came minutes before the OHL trade deadline for overage players at noon Thursday. The trade deadline for other players is noon Friday.

The Storm acquired Budnick from the Kingston Frontenacs in December of 2023 for a second round pick and two third round picks.

In 51 games in a Storm jersey Budnick had five goals and 23 assists.
