Guelph's Charlie Paquette scored the lone Storm goal in a 4-1 loss in Windsor.

A valiant effort fell short against one of the OHL's top-scoring teams.

The Guelph Storm lost 4-1 on the road against the Windsor Spitfires, and have dropped four of their last five games.

The physical game saw both teams go scoreless on two power play opportunities. There were also two fights.

Charlie Paquette had the lone Guelph goal about five minutes into the second. At the time, he tied the game at one, but Windsor captain Liam Greentree would restore the Spits' lead 20 seconds later with the eventual game-winner.

Noah Jenken and Justin Bottineau were held off the board in their Storm debuts, after being acquired in separate deals earlier this week.

Colin Ellsworth made 33 saves in the loss.

Guelph finishes its pre-Christmas schedule Friday night at home against the Soo Greyhounds at 7:07 p.m.
