LONDON – The Guelph Storm faced its toughest challenge of the young season Saturday and the result was somewhat predictable.

The London Knights, fully-stocked with the return of its stars from NHL camps, handed Guelph a 5-1 loss at the newly-named Canada Life Centre Saturday.

The Knights led 1-0 after the first period and 3-1 after the second, with Alex McLean scoring Guelph's lone goal, his third of the year, on the power play.

Brayden Gillespie made 30 saves in the Storm net, with the final London goal coming into an empty net.

Will Nicholl had two goals for London, with singles to P.J. Fagan, Easton Cowan and Evan Van Gorp scoring the others.

This coming week Guelph hosts Windsor Friday, Kitchener Saturday and play in Kitchener Sunday.
