Guelph Storm edged on the road

North Bay scores the winner with just under three minutes left in the third period

NORTH BAY – Cam Allen had a goal and two assists for the Guelph Storm Thursday but it wasn't enough as the North Bay Battalion scored late to come away with a 4-3 win over the Storm.

Lirim Amidovski scored what proved to be the winning goal with 2:58 remaining in the third period after Hunter McKenzie had tied it for the Storm a little over two minutes earlier.

Vilmer Alriksson had the other Storm goal and Brayden Gillespie made 23 saves in the Guelph net as they outshot North Bay 29-27 on the night.

The game was tied 1-1 after one period and 2-2 after two.

Guelph plays in Sudbury Friday night.
