LONDON – The Western Mustangs scored 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to down the Guelph Gryphons 30-19 Saturday in the OUA semifinals in London.

The fifth-ranked Gryphons trailed the fourth-ranked Mustangs 17-13 at the half.

Western scored on the opening drive of the game then a Guelph safety and Ben Lane 52-yard field goal accounted for Guelph's first quarter points as they trailed 7-5.

A 23-yard catch-and-run from Tristan Aboud to Vyshonne Janusas with four minutes to go in the half gave Guelph its only lead of the game. But Western answered that before the end of the half with a 19-yard touchdown catch by Seth Robertson with 1:27 left in the half.

Lane field goals of 48 and 33 yards accounted for the rest of Guelph's scoring while a 36-yard Western touchdown catch early in the fourth quarter and a pair of field goals kept Guelph at bay.

Guelph had 11 penalties for 162 yards.

Aboud threw for 304 yards. Leading rusher was Isaiah Smith who had 35yards. Guelph played the game without its leading rusher, Donavin Milloy, who was injured.
