Daytime loss for Guelph Storm in Brampton

BRAMPTON – The Guelph Storm managed 47 shots on net but couldn't come away with a win Wednesday as they fell 7-4 to the Brampton Steelheads in a daytime school day game.

Brampton jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first period and never looked back. It was 4-1 after two.

Guelph got goals from Cam Allen, Charlie Paquette, Max Namestnikov and Hunter McKenzie. Brayden Gillespie played net in the first, Colin Ellsworth played the final two periods.

Lev Katzin made his debut for the Storm, picking up an assist.

Porter Martone, Michael Misa and Adam Zidlicki each scored twice for the Steelheads. Chase Lefebvre had the other.

Guelph hosts the Owen Sound Attack Friday night.
