A Kitchener man was arrested after threatening to shoot employees of a Guelph bar Thursday night, say Guelph police.

Just after 11 p.m. police were called to an establishment on Woodlawn Road West. Investigation revealed a man was in a physical altercation with two other patrons. When security staff attempted to remove him from the bar the male claimed he had a gun and would shoot them.

The man was located outside by police and refused to follow officers’ commands, pulling his hands away as they attempted to handcuff him. No weapon was located.

A 41-year-old Kitchener man is charged with uttering threats, resisting arrest and public intoxication.
