We are pleased to announce the opening of Fresh Perspectives, a new photography exhibit being presented at Guelph City Hall. The exhibit features works by 50 young photographers who have participated in Focus on Nature school workshops and camps in Guelph and Wellington County.

“I’m inspired by the magical images created by local youth as part of the Focus on Nature Fresh Perspectives photography exhibit,” says Guelph Mayor Cam Guthrie. “I hope you will join me in exploring these beautiful pieces of art and celebrating the talented artists.”

“Our youth can capture the natural world from incredible perspectives that adults sometimes miss,” said Sarah Fontes, Executive Director of Focus on Nature. “We are very excited to be able to showcase some of the best photos from this past school year and camp seasons. We hope that these images can help inspire many others to explore and connect with the natural world.”

Location: Guelph City Hall, 1 Carden Street, Guelph, ON, N1H 3A1

Dates: September 23 to October 11, 2024

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

There will be a special reception for the young photographers, their families, and teachers on September 23rd, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Focus on Nature is grateful for the support from the Linamar Corporation. Thanks to their support, each young photographer will be able to take home their professionally mounted photo when the exhibition is over.
