On Saturday, Dec. 2, from 8 p.m. to midnight, Wyndham House is hosting an unforgettable community fundraiser, The Gift of Home.

The holiday party, hosted at the artBar, invites members of the Guelph community to enjoy a lively and fun-filled evening while raising money to support homeless and vulnerable youth in Guelph.

Guests will enjoy live music from Guelph’s own “Uncle Harry & The Kickstands at 8:30 p.m. and Hamilton performer Mattie Leon at 10 p.m. Other entertainment for the evening includes a silent auction with items donated from local businesses, hot cocoa, appetizers, and cocktails for purchase. Tickets can be purchased for The Gift of Home on Eventbrite for $25 or at the door.

“We hope this event is an opportunity for the Guelph community to come together and celebrate the holidays while also reflecting on the importance of home and the comfort it provides to the youth in our community. Having a place to call home creates a solid foundation from which our young people can move away from a difficult path and seek a stable future,” said Kristen Cairney, Executive Director of Wyndham House.

Through its permanent supportive housing model, Wyndham House is a leader in providing innovative supports that focus on wellness, stability, and healthy development for youth. Wyndham House recently opened the doors on May 4 to the newly renovated Bellevue Project, a state-of-the-art youth-focused supportive housing facility that creates a safe, inclusive home for eight young people.

This summer, the Concurrent Specialized Youth Hub was also able to expand its services and care for over 300 unique youth. The Gift of Home event is made possible through generous support from Guelph businesses, including Guelph Toyota, Skyline Group of Companies, Fusion Homes, Spring Mill Distillery, Sleeman Breweries, Part Time CFO Services LLP and Freightzy.
