As framing of the Wilson Street Parkade is being erected, the $20-million project is beginning to take shape.
When completed, the Wilson Street Parkade will have 496 parking spaces for cars, as well as additional parking for bicycles. When construction began, city staff said there were about 400 people on the waiting list for downtown parking spots.
Construction cost of the Wilson Street Parkade is estimated at $20 million.
Reconstruction of the Norfolk Street Footbridge will eventually be completed as part of the project.
Construction of the Wilson Street Parkade is expected to continue until June 2019. Workers will continue construction of the Wilson Street Parkade through the winter months.
