The Wellington Catholic District School Board welcomes Daniel Pace as the new superintendent of education.
Pace has 24 years of service in Catholic education with over a decade of experience as principal with the Brant-Haldimand Norfolk Catholic School Board, serving in both elementary and secondary panels. Prior to taking on a principal leadership role, Pace previously excelled as a system special education teacher and classroom educator.
“We welcome Daniel’s knowledge and experience in supporting excellence in student achievement with a focus on inclusive education. Dan brings a focus and commitment to ensuring the success of all students and staff in our Catholic schools. We look forward to the leadership Dan will bring in his role as superintendent with Wellington Catholic,” said Michael Glazier, director of education of the Wellington Catholic DSB.
Beyond classroom teaching and school administration, Pace has taken on active leadership roles within his current school board, serving as principal lead for district self-regulation training, co-chair of Joint Health and safety committee, and member of the district safe and accepting schools team. He has acted as a mentor to other principals over the years and previously served as a member of the Ministry of Education Principal Reference Group from 2015-2017.
"We are looking forward to welcoming Daniel to our team at Wellington Catholic,” said Vikki Dupuis, chair of the Wellington Catholic DSB. "He has a breadth of experience, and we know that in sharing his many gifts with us, he will contribute to our success in supporting our staff and students across the district."
Pace is a faith-filled leader who aims to strengthen relationships between home, school and parish in his new role and make connections with community organizations that support students in the board.
“It is an absolute honour to join the Wellington Catholic District School Board team. This position comes with great responsibility, and I look forward to building relationships and collaborating to ensure we are creating places of learning and work that are safe, caring, welcoming and Christ-centered,” shared Daniel Pace, incoming superintendent of education of the Wellington Catholic DSB.
Pace will serve the Wellington Catholic DSB as superintendent of education beginning Oct. 17, 2022.
