Saturday

Guelph Farmers' Market

2 Gordon St.; 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Check out an abundance of fresh produce, baked goods, beverages, and products from local meat producers.

Eramosa River Trail parkrun and parkwalk

Eramosa River Trail at 85 York Rd.; 9 a.m. to noon
A free weekly timed 5k run, jog, and walk kicks off just east of the covered bridge near The Boathouse. Newcomers are encouraged to join at 8:45 a.m.

Solstice Sacred Fire

Royal City Park firesite; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The Guelph Indigenous community is invited to the Sacred Fire at Royal City Park this weekend. Attendees are asked to bring good medicine to share with others. Smudging and sacred medicines will be offered at the fire. 

Last Call Christmas Market

Wellington Brewery at 950 Woodlawn Rd. W.; noon to 4 p.m.

Local vendors and beer samples at this market. Santa and dog pictures from 1 to 3 p.m. with a donation to Tango's Lead Canine Rescue.

Winter Solstice Fire Ceremony

St. Brigid's Villa at the Ignatius Jesuit Centre at 5420 Hwy 6; 2 p.m.

A circle to gather, share intentions, songs and honour the darkness. People are encouraged to bring a mug, small offering for the altar and drum or rattle. Donations for the land are welcomed.

Sunday

Alma Santa Claus Parade

Alma Community Centre (51 Simpson St. E., Alma); 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Parade travels down Simpson Street East and then onto Wellington Road 7 through the village.
