Friday

Guelph Jazz Festival

Various locations, including Market Square; 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Saturday

Guelph Farmers’ Market

2 Gordon St.; 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Check out an abundance of fresh produce, baked goods, beverages, and products from local meat producers.

Eramosa River Trail parkrun and parkwalk

Eramosa River Trail at 85 York Rd.; 9 a.m. to noon

A free weekly timed 5k run, jog, and walk kicks off just east of the covered bridge near The Boathouse. Newcomers are encouraged to join at 8:45 a.m.

Fergus Fall Fair

Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex; 9 a.m. start

Focus on Nature annual Garden Party

8124 Side Road 20 Guelph-Eramosa Township; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Garden Party will feature a new photo exhibit by young photographers, music by talented performers, tasty treats and refreshments, and lots of great prizes on the silent auction tables and ticket draws. 

OUA football

Alumni Stadium; 1 p.m. start, gates open at 11:30 a.m.

Guelph Legion Scottish Festival

Royal Canadian Legion, 57 Watson Pkwy. S.; 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This free-admission event (donations welcome) features pipe band and dance performances. Find more information here.

Sunday

Guelph Terry Fox Run

Silvercreek Park (south east corner of Edinburgh Rd. S. and Wellington St. W.); 8 a.m. to noon

This fundraising run, walk or roll is held in support of the Terry Fox Foundation, which funds cancer research activities. More information can be found here.

Fergus Fall Fair

Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex; 9 a.m. start

Taste of Guelph

St. Joseph’s Health Centre (100 Westmount Rd.); 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.,

The annual fundraising event typically sees about 1,000 community members attend to sample offerings from the region’s restaurants, caterers, vintners, brewers and bakers. More information, including ticket details, can be found here.
