Report: OPP officer acted unlawfully when he took GuelphToday reporter's equipment

In December, a GuelphToday reporter was detained and his camera seized by the OPP while at the scene of a fatal collision. An independent investigation into the incident from the Public Complaint Investigation Report found the officer had acted unlawfully when he took the camera, violating the reporter's Charter rights.
