Get your pencils ready, because The Art Gallery of Guelph is hosting a free, family-friendly Draw-A-Thon this Sunday, and you don't need to be an artist to join.
Designed for artists, non-artists, children and adults, participants can stop by to get creative with a range of sketching activities, from cartooning, community mapping, collaborative murals and inventive illustrations.
The activities are inspired by the work currently being exhibited in the gallery, including large-scale drawings of Guelph sites and symbols by Alison Norlen.
It runs from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Drop-ins are welcome, meaning you can just stop by for one activity or spend the whole afternoon drawing. Participants will get to take creations home afterwards. All materials are provided.
