A south end movie theatre is set to re-open in late March, eight months after it was closed in the face of extensive flood damage.
The Cineplex theatre on Clair Road has been shut down since July 16, when Guelph saw record-setting rainfall. Film screenings are expected to begin there in late-March.
“We would like to thank all of our guests for visiting Galaxy Cinemas Guelph during this temporary closure,” Cineplex’s communications coordinator Alannah O’Farrell told GuelphToday via email.
“We are grateful for the understanding and patience of the community and are looking forward to welcoming our guests and employees back to experience movie magic.”
A specific re-opening date isn't known.
"It is difficult to predict when repairs will be completed," O'Farrell said.
