ROCKWOOD - The new Rockmosa Skatepark opened in Rockwood with a big party on Thursday night.
The new skatepark itself was full of skateboards, scooters and BMX bikes and a skate team from Hamilton put on a demonstration for the crowd.
Food trucks, a time capsule, bouncy castles, the Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department, beer garden and a concert by the Practically Hip were all part of the festivities.
The skatepark is located at the Rockmosa Community Centre at 78 Christie St., part of a blosssoming park that already includes a sports field and splash pad. Next on the list is a 5km trail.
