Penalties sink the Guelph Storm in Saginaw

SAGINAW – The Saginaw Spirit scored three times on the power play in handing the Guelph Storm a 6-2 defeat Saturday afternoon in Saginaw.

Zayne Parekh had a hat trick and Michael Misa scored twice for Saginaw, with Parekh also adding to assists to become the all-time top scoring defenceman in Saginaw history.

Jett Luchanko and Charlie Paquette had the Storm goals.

Zach Jovanovski went all the way in the Storm net.

It was 3-1 after one period and 4-1 after two.

Guelph was outshot 39-33.

Guelph hosts Brantford Friday.
